“This Republic of the Philippines will continue to be great,” President Rodrigo Duterte told the Marines during his visit at Philippine Marine Corps Headquarters September 27. He added that time will come the country will no longer need other countries.
“Pagdating ng panahon, hindi na natin sila kailangan lahat,” the President said. “We will survive on our own, we will fight our wars as on our own and we will win as a country.”
The President said US is manipulating the economy resulting to weakening of Philippine Peso.
“Kinakaya-kaya kasi tayo ng Amerikano, binatos na ba. Because there’s always China and I’ve talked to Medvedev sa, the [Prime Minister of Russia],” he said. “Pagka-inipit nila ako, I will have alliances pero hindi ano [military alliance], new alliances of commerce and trade, so I’ll be visiting China and maybe Russia.”
